Loose Parts Play focuses on utilizing our environment to create stimulating learning opportunities for children. You will explore ways in which adults can provide loose parts for play and encourage children to manipulate the environment to support their exploration, learning and development. This type of play stimulates creativity, problem solving and enhanced peer interactions.

Linking to this, we will delve into supporting children’s language and literacy development. This is designed to support you in gaining a deeper understanding of the way in which young children develop language and literacy skills and the environmental influences that affect their language and literacy development. Links between the two workshops will be made throughout the day.

During the workshops, hands on activities, small and large group discussions and reflective questions will be used to support your learning and reflection.

This session is being offered on a cost recovery basis.
