AllThis interactive one day workshop will engage you in exploring the new Career and Technology Foundations (CTF) program that will be in schools in September 2015.
You will collaboratively examine the draft essence statements and learning outcomes of the new curriculum for students in grades 5 to 9. There will be adequate time to explore and discuss questions such as:
- What does the new CTF curriculum consist of and how is it different from previous curriculum?
- What shifts/adaptations will you need to make to your present course/s to meet the new Programs of Study for CTF?
- How will you develop challenges and how can these be used to meet the CTF learning outcomes?
- What instructional practices, in addition to creating challenges, can you use to address the CTF learning outcomes?
- How will you assess the CTF learning outcomes?
