Grade Levels
AllThis interactive twoday workshop will provide administrators and teachers time to develop an implementation plan for Career and Technology Foundations (CTF) to be implemented in schools in September 2015.
You will collaboratively examine the draft essence statements and learning outcomes of the new curriculum for students in grades 5 to 9. There will be adequate time to explore and discuss questions such as:
How does students designing, creating, appraising and communicating responses to challenges differ from our present practice?
What information do our stakeholders need? When do they need the information?
What model of organization will we use?
What are the considerations for assessment?
What resources will we need for implementation?
How will we know that there is fidelity for implementation across the district? What data will we collect?
There will also be time to work collaboratively to design a powerful challenge. The challenge might be the tweaking of an existing option, or might be designed entirely from scratch. You will have access to resources developed by other teachers as a starting point.
Target Audience
Northern Gateway principals, other administrators, teachers, and district staff.
