Faith permeation is most powerful when intentionally woven throughout the learning experience rather than added as a separate activity. In this practical session, educators will explore how Catholic worldview, values, Scripture, reflection, and essential questions can authentically shape curriculum-based learning across subject areas. Participants will use a backward design process and an efficient workflow to identify natural connections between curriculum outcomes and faith, while preserving academic rigour and creating opportunities for students to think deeply about meaning, purpose, relationships, responsibility, and their place in the world. Using Alberta’s new Social Studies curriculum as the example, this session will explore how teachers can make authentic connections between civic and historical learning and the Catholic intellectual tradition.
