Are you new (or new-ish) to FSL and need a launchpad for success? This full day, in-person session is geared to give a boost to any French class! With the goal of setting up a successful French classroom from the get-go, participants will leave with a deep understanding of the FSL program of studies, guiding knowledge of language pedagogy, and a useable resource toolkit (Div 2-4). Major discussion points and demonstrations will centre on communicative language teaching/tasks, short and long-range planning, cooperative classrooms, assessment, and good language-teaching
practices.
Participants have the option of joining a year-long FSL cohort that meets online once a month throughout the school year. Participants will explore one important theme each meeting and then support each other in whatever way the group feels fit at that time.
