This session builds on Culturally Responsive and Indigenous frameworks and integrates the Science of Reading to support phonological awareness, decoding, and sight word recognition. Participants will examine practical strategies through an Indigenous lens, exploring historical practices and their application to support the fluency needs of Indigenous learners.
Learning Target: Participants will apply Science of Reading strategies for phonological awareness, decoding, and sight-word recognition, using culturally responsive and Indigenous-informed practices to support the fluency needs of Indigenous learners.
