Description: This introductory session will lay the groundwork for a four-part series examining the theoretical foundations of Culturally Responsive Practices (CRP) and its alignment with Indigenous education frameworks. The session will demonstrate how Indigenous ways of knowing and doing connect to culturally responsive theory and best practices, highlighting instructional strategies that meet the needs of Indigenous learners through a historical and cultural lens.
Learning Target: Participants will explain the key principles of Culturally Responsive Practices and describe how these principles align with Indigenous ways of knowing and doing to support Indigenous learners.
