What’s all the fuss about?  There are many puzzles in mathematics that can be solved more easily when we "break up" the Composite Numbers into their Prime Number factors.  Let’s have some fun with strategies we can use to enhance the understanding of Prime and Composite numbers.  We might even have some time to delve into “digital roots” that can help us with Divisibility and Factorization.  Let’s make explicit connections and incorporate pictures and concrete materials as part of instruction so that students have multiple representations of concepts and alternative paths to developing understanding.
