Do you dread teaching fraction concepts and skills to your students? Teaching is more than covering content, learning is more than merely taking in and assessment is more than accurate recall.  Join us as we learn engaging activities that teach equivalent fraction and allow your students to have fun at the same time!  Ulana will share and practice strategies for teaching fractions by connecting the abstract to the concrete with physical and visual models. You will learn how to use fluency-building fraction activities to engage students when explaining fractions and why it is important to demonstrate equivalent representations of numbers when teaching fractions.  Once meaning is made and understanding is gained we can link this information to make meaning of percents too!Let’s reduce the anxiety that fractions trigger in so many people!
