Charlee Amason
Outreach Specialist:
Charlee received his Master's in Physics at the University of Alberta, where he coded a Python program to describe light coming from a spinning neutron star. He also works as a tutor, and loves teaching math and science to students who struggle with those subjects. In his spare time he enjoys reading poetry, making art, watching Star Trek, collecting records, and playing bass guitar.
Amanda Clement
Outreach Education Specialist:
Amanda is a genderqueer educator with a passion for learning by doing, herpetology, and Lego. They hold a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta. Additionally, Amanda currently is attending MacEwan University for a diploma in Arts and Cultural Management (2024). Amanda is constantly pushing themself to learn something new and further progress the industry of informal education.
Karen Attia
Instructor – Science Education
Karen is one of our Northern Coding Academy part-time Instructors. She received a BSc in Science from the University of Alberta and is currently pursuing a master's in Medical Genetics where she is studying eye diseases using zebrafish models. She also works as a high school math and science tutor and runs a drumline team. In her spare time, Karen loves baking, drumming, and learning new instruments.
