The topic of racism is often avoided in schools because educators do not recognize racism as a problem. Educators may avoid talking about race for fear of saying the “wrong thing”. It is critical, however, to step bravely into conversations about race in order to create an educational environment that is safe and welcoming for all students and staff. This session will explore ways that educators can lead conversations about race and become better allies to their BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour) students and colleagues.

This is Part #3 of Brave Space; 23-IE-107-Brave Spaces: Beginning Conversations About Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Allyship from October 20, 2022.

However you did not have to be a registrant of that session to take this session.
