Students love Minecraft and it can be a great way to create powerful learning environments. In this second fun session (no prereq), now that you’ve had a chance to explore Minecraft basics a bit, let's explore more effective ways to use Minecraft to empower your students in their learning. We’ll check in to share our explorations so far and challenges faced and/or met, and then together deeper dive into more possibilities, ideas for lessons that tie to curriculum, and so much MORE. You’ll learn and share how students are constructing new knowledge by using Minecraft as a virtual world AND demonstrating their learning by creating their own worlds, whether through building blocks or even through coding. Get and share more tips about how to guide students in their virtual environment to avoid chaos and destruction. Come learn how to put those blocks to even MORE good use in your classroom!
