Today, mindful technology integration is not only key for students and teachers alike to achieve many curricular outcomes, but it's also a key thread that surfaces throughout the TQS. To help us empower students as lifelong learners exercising habits of mind that will help them be confident and ethical participants in today’s world, while allowing for their individual student variables, for many of us our integration of digital technologies has truly shown that technology is an essential part of today’s cognitive infrastructure at and beyond school!

But how can we tap into the promise of digital technologies when grappling with so many other challenges of teaching today? And how can we support our colleagues who might be more reticent in using tech to do the same? And how can we support students who come to us with so many other needs that need to be met before they can venture into the learning space?

In this session, explore what student-centered learning in a technology-rich environment can look like, and share and learn specific strategies we can use as teachers to leverage technology to help us promote student engagement as they step into the learning space, and, even more exciting, take steps to show the evidence of their learning in today’s digitally-enhanced world.
