Structured Literacy identifies the areas of phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension & writing as a framework for building a strong literacy program. Our sessions will focus on the interventions needed for learners who require direct and explicit instruction in one or all of these areas. Sessions will focus on the work of Louise Spear-Swerling in the book, “Structured Litercy Interventions: Teaching Students With Reading Difficulties, Grades K-6”.
