Nadine McSpadden is from the Shuswap Band in Invermere, BC. The community makes up one of 17 communities in the Secwepemc Nation. She currently work for Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows (SD42) as an Aboriginal Resource Teacher. Nadine is the author of three of the Mathology Little Books; We Can Bead, Canada’s Oldest Sport, Memory Book. She has also co-written the grade 3 Inquiring Minds Social Studies Modules.
Nadine loves helping teachers truly connect Indigenous Knowledge and Indigenous ways of knowing and being into all areas of the curriculum because she thinks it is really important that our students with ancestry see themselves reflected in what we teach in school.
