Learning Opportunities

In this webinar John Mighton will demonstrate effective and engaging methods of instruction that teachers can use to teach critically important concepts in the new Alberta curriculum in depth. Participants will learn how to use JUMP Math’s lesson plans, student resources and formative assessments to monitor student progress, to increase engagement and to foster higher level thinking and discourse in all learners. Dr. Mighton will also discuss strategies for integrating concepts from the Alberta curriculum in other subjects, including art, science, and social studies. Using these strategies, teachers can give students more opportunities to engage with the curriculum and to apply mathematical methods and perspectives in all areas of their lives.
