Jamie’s 30-year journey in education has provided stops along the way as a teacher, consultant and curriculum designer. While each destination has provided unique perspective and learning, a common theme has permeated throughout: the teacher is, and has always been, the most important force influencing student achievement.
What teachers do is magic, but it is also science. Jamie’s work continues to pursue the ever-evolving understanding of how teachers use the most valuable resource at their disposal– instructional time – to have the greatest impact in the classroom and beyond. Thirty years in, Jamie realizes the more he explores, the less he knows, but the search for answers, shared with others, is perpetually inspiring.
