The pandemic has impacted every aspect of how we work. If you’re like many leaders, you may have spent so much time putting out fires over the past two years, it has been difficult to move forward with your big goals and aspirations. Most organizations have had to completely reinvent how they do their work throughout the pandemic. And now, as we move to a new normal, we have the opportunity to build a better one. In this workshop, we will engage in what it means to be positively deviant and why that matters. We will explore three new tools that you can experience during the session and take away to use in your workplace afterward.

These include:

  1. An organizational tool called the 5 Brief Assessments on Positive Organizing, from Dr. Robert Quinn’s work on positive organizations
  2. A team tool called the Team Positivity Measure, from Dr. Michael West’s research on positive and resilient teams
  3. A personal leadership tool from the gratitude research, a type of Personal Gratitude Practice—all designed to help you lead your teams and your organization to a better normal

All learning opportunities with the ERLC regional team will focus on the Alberta Education and district priority areas.
